Metabolic Modelling Scientist
Build and maintain genome-scale models that guide strain design, and close the gap between predicted and measured performance.
Careers — Atlas sheet 07
We hire scientists, engineers and operators who would rather defend a number than hide it. The work is hands-on, the standards are public, and the pilot hall is small enough that everyone can see the whole pipeline.
Culture
Internal reviews ask for the dataset, not the slide. If a claim cannot be traced, it does not ship.
With one 2,000-litre hall, a fermentation scientist sees downstream, validation and application work every week.
Datasets go out even when they are inconvenient. Unfavourable results are treated as course corrections, not cleanup work.
All work is contained-use, with biosafety review before every new strain design. We build with the guardrails on.
Open roles
Every role is based at the Fermentation Hall in Norrköping unless noted. Applications open year-round; the desk replies within five working days.
Build and maintain genome-scale models that guide strain design, and close the gap between predicted and measured performance.
Run cultivation experiments across the 10–2,000 litre vessel fleet, own process datasets and contribute to the continuous-culture programme.
Operate and improve the membrane and chromatographic recovery train, and own per-batch mass-balance reconciliation.
A paid six-month internship supporting the material validation suite and dataset publication. Open to STEM students in their final year.
Keep the vessel fleet's on-line sensors and data acquisition calibrated, so every published number is defensible.
We keep an open speculative application desk for fermentation, modelling and instrumentation talent.
