Platform — Atlas sheet 02

A fermentation platform built to be read.

Four integrated disciplines — organism design, fermentation, downstream recovery and analytics — operate as one pipeline. Every unit is instrumented, every claim is traceable to a record.

Platform modules

Four disciplines, one pipeline.

Module 01

Organism design engine

Strain development runs on genome-scale metabolic models paired with an automated design–build–test–learn loop. Targets are set from material specifications, not from laboratory convenience.

  • Genome-scale model-guided pathway design
  • Automated strain construction and screening
  • Defined media development for each production strain
Module 02

Fermentation systems

Cultivation runs at 10, 200 and 2,000 litres in fully instrumented vessels. Continuous-culture capability keeps product quality stable across production runs and generates the process data we publish.

  • On-line biomass, substrate and product monitoring
  • Continuous and fed-batch operation profiles
  • Defined, animal-free media across all scales
Module 03

Downstream recovery

Purification trains combine membrane filtration, chromatographic polishing and controlled drying. Recovery yields are tracked per batch, and mass balances are reconciled to the gram.

  • Membrane-based cell and product separation
  • Chromatographic polishing for high-purity grades
  • Per-batch mass balance reconciliation
Module 04

Analytics & release

Characterisation runs against application-relevant specifications: molecular weight, composition, thermal behaviour and processability. Released lots carry a certificate of analysis before they leave the hall.

  • Application-oriented specification suites
  • Certificate of analysis per released lot
  • Open dataset publication after internal review
